“Uh... Five more minutes, mom.”Tubba Blubba, Paper Mario

Tubba Blubba is a giant blue Clubba who resides in a Gusty Gulch castle, he serves as the main boss of Chapter 3, is the second/final boss of that Chapter and is overall the sixth boss of the game.

Summery[]

Tubba Blubba's nickname is "The Invincible Tubba Blubba" because he cannot take damage when first fought. He also happens to like the taste of Boos and frequently eats them, which is the main reason why Bow teams up with Mario. Later in the story it is discovered that Tubba Blubba has a weak point and a secret item that he keeps near his bed. After Mario finds the item, it leads to a windmill that leads to Tubba Blubba's Heart, who accidentally reveals that he is the reason why Tubba Blubba is so strong in the first place. Before Mario can defeat the heart, he runs out of the windmill and reunites with Tubba Blubba. Since his heart is severely damaged, Tubba Blubba is extremely weak and is defeated in a few turns. Tubba Blubba admits that he's just a sensitive guy and runs away into the forest in tears. He also regurgitates all the Boos he ate (including Stanley, a Boo that was eaten in front of all the Boos (as well as Mario and Bow) when they were invisible) and the Boos are happier once again.

In Super Paper Mario, it appears that Tubba Blubba has a career in television. He is mentioned as being the star of an anime based on him known as The Blubbening; it has run for at least three seasons. The Blubbening involves a princess and robots, and also happens to be a favorite show of Francis.

Super Mario-kun appearance[]

In Super Mario-kun, Tubba Blubba makes his only comic appearance. Kooper and Goombario disappear, only to mention by Lady Bow that Tubba Blubba ate them all. Lady Bow and Mario meet Tubba Blubba. She however, smacks her with her pack of flowers, causing Tubba Blubba to go crazy on them. He then begins to attack Lady Bow and Mario.

After they do a combined attack, they send him throwing to the wall. Here, it is found that Kooper and Goombario (even the Boos), were left untouched, eating lunch in his kitchen. After that, Tubba Blubba is revealed that he is not evil at all and instead just a good guy. They battled him because they attacked him first.

Strategy[]

Tubba Blubba has two primary attacks, the first of which is a butt bounce were he jumps on Mario, dealing 6 damage, and the second is were he will preform a fist slam at Mario, dealing 4 damage.

While in the first "fight", Tubba Blubba is indeed invincible and can not be harm, in his second true fight after gaining back his heart, Tubba Blubba is infact very weak and is one of the easiest bosses in Paper Mario, only having ten HP in total, so the best strategy is do use the Power Jump or Power Smash as Mario, and Bow's Smack Ability (if upgraded to Super Rank), and the Player will be able to beat Tubba Blubba in one turn without Tubba Blubba being able to do a single attack.
