Toadette is a pink Toad and Toad's partner who appears in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Her only physical appearances throughout the game are during small tutorials that teach Mario how to use his upgraded Jumping and Hammer attacks.
During these appearances, Toadette shows various signs of harbouring a crush on Mario, as she can be seen blushing a few times as well as hearts appearing in their dialogue. When she tells him that her tutorial on the usage of the Ultra Hammer will be the last time that she and Mario will meet, she runs away crying.

- After Punio returns to the Boggly Woods, Toadette leaves a message on the notice board in Rogueport wondering where he's gone.
- If the player attempts to fix the Happy Lucky Lottery and is caught, Lucky may mention that he had to tell Toadette she wouldn't be able to play. He also claims that this caused her to "burst into tears."
- Interestingly, Toadette appears to be wearing an orange dress, referencing her artwork from "Mario Kart: Double Dash!!". However, she never have been shown wearing an orange dress in any other game to date.
