The Toad Trainworks is a location from Paper Mario: Color Splash found in the Orange Region. An Orange Mini Paint Star can be obtained from the foreman at the beginning of the level, which will lead Mario to the Tangerino Grill. After the level's Mini Paint Star has been obtained and the bridge near the Kiwano Temple is repaired, the Sunset Express will appear in the Toad Trainworks. Mario is then tasked with repairing the train, which has overtaken by Larry Koopa's minions. Mario must repair and "unfurl" parts of the train and defeat the minions scattered around the trainworks in order to move onto the next level.

- A large group of Toads can be found in a passenger car, and, when interacted with, will initiate a battle with Mario (Attacking with verbal discipline). This is the only time in the Paper Mario series that Toads are able to be fought.
