Shell Shot is an initial move only performed by Paratroopas by first hovering over the player, retreating into their shells, and launching downwards. Quite similar to Shell Toss performed by Koopas. In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, if Koops is present in battle and a Paratroopa successfully lands an attack on him, it will cause Koops to flip on his back, thus dropping his defense point to 0 and losing his turn to strike. Parakarry, the owner of this ability has a unique Shell Shot as he is able to launch himself fast and fiercely towards his enemy, causing great damage. The command for Parakarry's Shell Shot requires the player to hold the Control Analog left, and release it when the targeting cursor is lined up with the enemy.
Trivia[]
- Parakarry's Shell Shot is based off of Yoshi getting ready to toss his egg against his enemy in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
