Red Spike Tops are enemies from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. They are a more powerful version of the Spike Top, and are only found it the Glitz Pit as a challenger. It charges at Mario like all other Spike Tops. Both Jump and Fire attacks will not work against it.

- While a Red Spike Top is an enemy that is completely separate from the actual Spike Top, Paper Mario, Paper Mario: Sticker Star, and Paper Mario: Color Splash adopt the red shells for all the Spike Tops.
- The American version mistakenly claims that the Defense stat for the Red Spike Tops as being 5 instead of 4. This mistake was not present in the Japanese version and was corrected in the European version.
