Madam Merlar is a character from Paper Mario. She is an ancestor of the shaman Merlon who resides near the Crystal Palace in death. When Mario reaches a blockade on Shiver Mountain, she assists him by granting Mario and Co. the Star Stone, which opens the entrance to the Crystal Palace. After Mario leaves the room, Madam Merlar's resting place is closed off for the rest of the game. Her final appearance in the parade during the credits.
