Like his brother, the Luigi of the Mario & Luigi series is a flesh and blood human being instead of a literal paper cutout like his counterpart. He is much taller than both his counterpart and Paper Mario, and has no leg less feet. His mouth, hidden under his mustache, is only visible if Luigi is screaming, talking, or grunting.
His eyes are black rather than blue like in the mainline Super Mario series, though that might be due to the art style. In the first 3 games of the series, the “L” on his hat was also black instead of the usual green. In the artworks, his pants were short enough to reveal him wearing red, white striped socks. These socks disappeared starting with Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.
