The Happy Lucky Lottery is a lottery run by Bulky Bob-omb named Lucky in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. It is located on the west side of Rogueport. Mario can enter the lottery by purchasing a Lottery Pick.

Essentially, the lottery works by utilizing the GameCube's internal clock in order to generate a certain prize and does NOT use random chance. If Mario checks back with the lottery after 4-10 days, the lottery will give him a Life Shroom. If the lottery is checked after 25-35 days, he is given an Ultra Shroom. If checked within 85-115 days, Mario is rewarded with a Lucky Day Badge (If 3 numbers are won again Lucky will give Mario a Zess Special). Finally, if Mario checks after 335-395 days, he will be given a Power Plus Badge. Like the third prize, if Mario does the lottery again and wins with 4 numbers he will instead be given a Zess Dynamite. If the lottery is checked at any other time than the ones specified, Mario will be given the consolation prize; a Mushroom. It should be noted that while adjusting the internal clock forward will allow the player to get prizes faster, adjusting it backward will cancel the lottery, and Lucky will assume you are cheating.
