Cragnons are a strange species found in Chapter 5 of Super Paper Mario. They are cave-like creatures who speak English, but replace certain words with "crag" and "brah". They almost always speak in third person.
History[]
Before the events of the game, Cragnons and Floro Sapiens used to live in harmony. However, when the Cragnons decided to dump garbage into the water supply, the Floro Sapiens retaliated by kidnapping the Cragnons and brainwashing them using the Floro Sprouts. (This part is during the game.) The Cragnons pray to the Big Rock Who Watches to help them save their people. Once Mario and co. arrive, they discover King Croacus IV, who was the one who ordered the brainwashing of the Cragnons.

Trivia[]
Cragnons possess highly advanced technology, such as television (Cragvision), video recording, and radio (even though most of it is made out of rocks), similar to the people in The Flintstones.
The names of Cragnons are mostly named after formations of rocks.
The name "Cragnon" may be a play on the word "crag", meaning a steep, rugged rock.
