Coconuts are items found in Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. They are not found in shops, and are only obtained by hitting certain trees with the Hammer.
Paper Mario[]
Coconuts are primarily found on Lavalava Island, hanging from palm trees. Mario can throw it in battle to do 3 damage to an enemy.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door[]
In Thousand-Year Door, Coconuts have a more key role than the previous game. During Chapter 5, when Mario is stranded at Keelhaul Key, Mario must trade Flavio a coconut for a Chuckola Cola (In order to fulfill Admiral Bobbery's "last wish"). During battle, coconuts can no longer be thrown at an enemy, but instead recover 5 HP for Mario or his partners.
Recipes[]
Outside of battle, Coconuts are used in a plethora of recipes.
