The unnamed Hammer Bro. Captain is a minor character appearing in Super Paper Mario. His only appearance in the game is in an intermission after Chapter One is completed.

After the false wedding of Bowser and Peach, the two, with Luigi, and the rest of the Koopa Troop (including the Captain) are warped into Count Bleck's Castle. The Hammer Bro. Captain and another fellow member of the Koopa Troop, Private Koopa, eventually find Princess Peach unconscious in a room where she wakes up. He and Private Koopa warn Peach about Count Bleck's assisstant, going around brainwashing every one of their troops. After telling her this, he then orders his Private to escort Princess Peach to safety while he tries to go help his men, with Peach bidding him a farewell. He then runs into an already brainwashed Koopa name Johnson who he tries to persuade that he is his captain. Much of his words not working against the brainwashed troop, he is confronted by Nastasia who ends up brainwashing him as well. In which, having the captain change his loyalty from Bowser by force, over to Count Bleck.

Personality

Despite being a minor character, he seems to show some sort of a personality of his own, which is clearly shown when he is speaking to Princess Peach. He is extremely loyal to Bowser and it is implied that he shows caring for his troops when he says "Leave no Koopa behind!" and "Good luck out there." to Princess Peach before making his leave.

Trivia

• The Hammer Bro. Captain is the only character to have his eyes turn red after he is brainwashed. As for the rest of the troops, their eyes remain the same color. However, this wears off after he and Nastasia corner Princess Peach and Private Koopa.
