Cake Mix is an item found relatively often in the Paper Mario series. It restores 1 FP, but once cooked into a Mousse Cake, it will restore 15 FP. Even though this item is relatively weak, Cake Mix is an extremely useful cooking ingredient and is quite enjoyable to experiment with. For instance, cooking a Cake Mix with a Fire Flower will give you a Fire Pop, restoring 20 FP.
In Paper Mario, Cake Mixes can only be found, (with a few exceptions) in Shy Guy's Toy Box. You must defeat the Shy Guys holding it to get the Cake Mix.
In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Cake Mix can be bought for 6 Piantas, (an equivalent of 18 coins) at the Pianta Parlor. Just like in the previous game, the Cake Mix will restore 1 FP if used. If Mario gives the Cake Mix to Zess T., she will make a Mousse Cake, which restores 15 FP.
In Super Paper Mario, Cake Mix can be purchased at the Itty Bits in Flipside for 25 coins, or dropped randomly by enemies. In this game, the Cake Mix restores 5 HP and cures Poison.
