Bonechill is a boss in Super Paper Mario. He is a large dragon-like beast with a cannon connected to his torso. Bonechill serves as the main boss of Chapter 7, is the third and final boss of that chapter and overall the fifteenth boss of the game.

History[]

Super Paper Mario[]

Bonechill imprisonedin the Underwhere along with his Skellobit army. Count Bleck set him free to destroy Mario, and steal the seventh Pure Heart. He is defeated and shatters into bits.

Personality[]

Bonechill is a being of pure evil, as demonstrated by his actions during chapter 7. Bonechill lacks sympathy for weaker beings, as seen in a scene where Grambi learns of Luvbi's fate. He also appears to have high awareness or a skilled sense of detecting power, as he was aware that Luvbi was a Pure Heart before it was ever revealed to anyone past Grambi and Jaydes, although Count Bleck may have known as well.

Attacks[]

Bonechill can attack by using his cold breath that can also form icicles on the ceiling, or by firing ice bullets from the cannon he sits upon.

Strategy[]

Bonechill is fairly easy to beat if the Player use Luigi with Dottie (since when small, his attacks are quite easily avoided), and use Luigi's Super Jump on his head from below. It is also possible to jump off of the icicles and bullets to attack him or use Barry; however, this is extremely difficult to do.

Trivia[]

  • Bonechill shares many similarity with the Crystal King from the first Paper Mario game.
    • Both serve as the main bosses of the seventh Chapter.
    • Both bosses are ice-theme.
    • Both bosses have Ice Breath.
    • Both bosses can freeze the Player with their Ice Breath attack.
  • It is rumored that Bonechill was once a Nimbi, possibly indicated by the wings on his back.
